The Equipment Development Engineering group (EDE) of Seagate Technology is expanding the team! We welcome aspiring Automation Alchemist Enthusiasts to check out this awesome opportunity!

The EDE is a fully integrated equipment development team; we design and develop precision and fully automated assembly equipment and vision inspection machines. The team is made up of a strongly cohesive high performing team of design talents with a diversity of talents specialized in mechanical, embedded systems, electrical, software, and vision disciplines.

We strive to constantly incorporate IIOT, AI, machine learning image, and data analytics solutions into all our development enabling our equipment to realize factory smart intelligence thus creating a high-tech future-ready plant.

About The Role - You Will

  • To assist in designing and developing machine learning dashboard, tailored for equipment development as in image & video AI analytics and Large Language Model Chatbot.
  • Perform fine tuning and optimization for performance scalability, and reliability within equipment development domain.

About You

  • Self-motivated and process strong learning towards new technology and skillsets
  • A positive mindset with a can-do attitude to challenge the impossible
  • Good organizational and time management skills

Your Experience Includes

  • Preferable with Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering, Data Science, or other similar / equivalent engineering background
  • Knowledge in Python, Web design, Pytorch library, and/or other machine learning framework.
  • Self-motivated, independent and a team player with strong analytical skills
  • Experience in data science and AI technology through past projects shall be favorable.
  • Interest in transforming data science prototypes into production-ready solutions.
  • Bachelor student and/or equivalent experience

Korat, Thailand

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
