About the Role
Lead the SMT Equipment Engineering team to ensure high equipment reliability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency. This role drives equipment optimization, automation initiatives, NPI support, and capital investment planning across SMT production lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the SMT Equipment Engineering team to achieve operational and business goals.
- Drive equipment performance, OEE improvement, uptime, and throughput across SMT lines.
- Oversee installation, qualification, maintenance, and optimization of SMT equipment (Screen Printer, SPI/AOI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven).
- Lead automation and continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Support NPI activities, line setup, and technical issue resolution.
- Manage equipment suppliers, capacity planning, spare parts strategies, and CapEx projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SMT, Equipment Engineering, or Electronics Manufacturing and 3+ years of people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of SMT equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in OEE improvement, automation, maintenance, and equipment optimization.
- Experience in NPI, capacity planning, and CapEx management.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and automation control systems.
- Hands-on experience with Fuji SMT equipment and Omron PLC systems is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
