Job Description

(Lower Elementary K1Grade 2 or Upper Elementary Grades 35)

Positions Available:

  • One (1) Lower Elementary ESL Teacher (K1Grade 2)
  • One (1) Upper Elementary ESL Teacher (Grades 35)

Employment Period: August 2, 2026 June 11, 2027 (full summer pay through to the end of July 2027) 12 months (initial contract)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am 4:00 pm

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in TESOL, ESL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • ESL certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent).
  • Valid teaching license from home country or Thai teaching license.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) at the elementary level.
  • Proven track record of implementing targeted language intervention and accelerating student growth.
  • Strong understanding of language acquisition theory and best practices in ESL instruction.
  • Experience using assessment data to design, implement, and monitor structured intervention plans.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with homeroom teachers to support student access to grade-level curriculum.

Additional Role-Specific Expertise:

  • Lower Elementary: Strong background in early literacy development, phonics instruction, and foundational language skills.
  • Upper Elementary: Strong understanding of academic language development across content areas (ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) and experience supporting students transitioning into mainstream classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver structured English language development instruction aligned to student proficiency levels.
  • Provide both push-in classroom support and pull-out targeted intervention.
  • Develop measurable, time-bound intervention plans to support language acquisition and academic growth.
  • Assess student language proficiency using formal and informal assessment tools.
  • Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to scaffold instruction and differentiate learning.
  • Communicate clearly with parents regarding student progress.
  • Participate in Parent/Teacher Conferences and school-wide professional collaboration.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a coherent, school-wide ESL framework.
