Job Description

Our client is a leading semiconductor wafer fabrication company who also a globally recognised semiconductor technology leaders. They are looking for a Etch Process Engineer to assist their team for the next phase of their business. They are located at the East, easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead etch process development and technology transfer activities to support new products and manufacturing requirements.
  • Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, productivity, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve etch process-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor and maintain SPC controls and process performance, including CpK, to ensure stable and capable production processes.
  • Qualify and release process equipment and tools to support manufacturing capacity and production requirements.
  • Evaluate and qualify alternative materials or suppliers to achieve cost optimisation while maintaining process quality and reliability.
  • Plan and execute engineering projects related to process improvement, capacity enhancement, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programmes, including Lean Six Sigma, best-known methods, and productivity initiatives.
  • Ensure all process activities, engineering changes, qualifications, and improvements are properly documented in accordance with manufacturing requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Semiconductor Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing or wafer fabrication.
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor processes, devices, electronics, and process engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with SPC, process capability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with good analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
