The Role
Located at the Austrade Office in the Australian Embassy Bangkok this role provides high level executive assistance to the Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner (STIC) and manages projects, activities and initiatives that support the efficient management of the Austrade office.
Duties include
- Manage the Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner's office by providing strong operational support and handling administrative tasks (including securing appointments, calendar management and travel bookings).
- Manage projects on behalf of the Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner including through online research, presentation development and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate visitor schedules and meetings, including from ministerial and federal government agencies, state & territory representatives, inbound and outbound business missions, physical and virtual events and activations, and investor and exporter visits.
- Support the Business Development Team to deliver events and activities, including through liaison with service providers and other Australian Embassy agencies.
- Participate in and support Post's marketing efforts including through co-ordinating team meetings and ensuring follow up to actions are undertaken.
- Coordinate internal communications including reporting and assist to schedule priorities and deadlines.
- Actively apply Austrade business practices and maintain accuracy of information in all Austrade Business Systems to deliver accurate and timely reporting and effective relationship management.
- Work collaboratively within the Austrade network to contribute to service delivery and achieve desired outcomes, while upholding the Australian Public Service (APS) Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct and Work Health & Safety (WHS) principles.

Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration and appointment you must have:
- Work Authorisation - to be eligible for employment with Austrade in Thailand, candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in Thailand at the time of appointment.
- Language - the successful candidate must be a highly motivated team member, fluent in written and spoken English.
- Security Clearance - the successful applicant must be willing to complete an Entry Level Screening Pack and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources prior to commencement in the role.
