Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead and oversee all financial management functions across King Power Group, including financial strategy, planning, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, finance operation and risk management. This role ensures financial sustainability, business transparency, and strategic alignment with the Group's long-term goals to support business growth and shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement the Group's financial strategy, policies, and governance framework to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Partner with C-suite executives and commercial leaders (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Shop Operations) to drive financial discipline, cost optimization, and capital efficiency across all business units.
  • Lead financial due diligence, feasibility studies, and valuation for new investments, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support the CEO and Board of Directors in decision-making.

2. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Oversee annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes across all business units and subsidiaries.
  • Deploy robust financial models and templates for commercial teams to support critical decisions, including new project/store feasibility, pricing strategies, promotional campaign ROI, and inventory management.
  • Monitor performance against budget and KPIs; identify areas for improvement and corrective actions.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Partner with Group Accounting during the financial closing process to ensure strategic objectives are reflected in financial reporting.
  • Lead the strategic analysis of financial results, providing the CEO and Board with critical insights and commentary on business performance against the budget and forecast.
  • Translate financial reporting outcomes into actionable recommendations to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of the Group's financial planning and forecasting models.
  • Provide strategic oversight on the internal control environment and key audit matters in collaboration with Group Accounting and auditors.

4. Treasury, Cash Flow & Capital Management

  • Direct the management of the Group's liquidity, working capital, and cash flow to ensure sufficient funding for operations and investments.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with banks and financial institutions to support financing and operational needs.
  • Lead the negotiation and management of all loan agreements and credit facilities, optimizing terms and interest rates to ensure a favorable capital structure.
  • Manage foreign exchange, investment portfolios, and hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Oversee daily finance operations, including cash and credit collection, payment processes, and EDC management, to optimize working capital and enhance operational efficiency

5. Risk, Compliance & Corporate Governance

  • Oversee financial risk management framework and ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and legal requirements.
  • Establish robust governance practices and internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and financial institutions to maintain transparency and compliance.

6. Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance leadership team
  • Drive organizational capability and succession planning within the Finance function.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Effectiveness of strategic thinking, planning and recommendations.
  • Budget vs. actual variance (5%)
  • Cash flow efficiency and working capital ratio
  • Return on Investment (ROI) and cost optimization outcomes
  • Leadership development and Succession planning management

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable
  • Minimum 1820 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles within large conglomerates, retail, or consumer businesses
  • Strong strategic mindset with hands-on experience in financial operations, M&A, and treasury management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both in Thai and English
  • Proven leadership in driving financial transformation, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment
