Job Description

The Export Markets Analyst will support distributor and partnership manager performance in Export Markets (GEM region). While reporting outside of the CommEx structure, the role overlaps with CommEx topics and is designed to provide hands-on support to commercial operations. Key activities include distributor execution support, PM incentive process assistance, sales data validation, and enablement of key systems including Salesforce and Tableau. The analyst acts as a vital resource for commercial teams, ensuring streamlined access to tools, dashboards, and reporting while maintaining alignment with GEM CommEx guidance.

In this role, a typical day will include:

1. Distributor Execution Support

  • Share execution excellence ideas and best practices used internally at Alcon with external distributors.
  • Guide distributors on segmentation and targeting standards and tools.

2. Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) Process

  • Complete SIP templates based on guidance from GEM CommEx.
  • Perform quarterly incentive calculations for PMs across all markets except LEs.
  • Validate sales reports used in manual incentive calculation.

3. Performance Tracking and Review Support

  • Track opportunities (e.g. for Surgical) and PM execution.
  • Assist in preparation of QBR and other business review decks.

4. Data and Dashboard Enablement

  • Provide user support for Tableau dashboards and Excel-based sales performance tools.
  • Support CPQ setup processes.
  • Deliver training and assistance on CommEx dashboards, and bug fixes.

5. Campaign Monitoring and Analytics

  • Provide Grow campaign guidelines for GEM region.
  • Monitor campaign performance based on distributor reports.

6. General Commercial Operations Support

  • Perform other duties needed by GEM commercial teams to enable operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 2-3 years in a Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, or Analytics role, preferably in healthcare or B2B environments
  • Knowledge of PM incentive modeling and distributor performance management.
  • Familiarity with export market dynamics, especially in emerging or hybrid distributor setups.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and cross-cultural stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge in Excel or other analytical tools
  • Technology knowledge - SFDC, Pitcher, Reports and Einstein Analytics
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in Local languages as needed by the role scope and in English.
