Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a Export Ocean Coordinator in Bangkok, Thailand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate ocean export shipments end-to-end, liaising with shippers, overseas offices, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, transporters, and warehouse partners
- Book vessel space using shipping lines platforms; negotiate rates and transit routes
- Prepare and manage all export documentation, including House & Master Bills of Lading (HBL/MBL), commercial invoices, packing lists, shipper's letters of instruction (SLI), certificates of origin (CO), chamber of commerce forms, and any letters of credit (L/C) supporting documents
- Submit shipping instructions (SI), Verified Gross Mass (VGM), and other required data via carriers platforms
- Track shipment status, proactively managing delays, customs holds, discrepancies, and resolving issues efficiently
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES), ensuring full regulatory compliance with export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC)
- Generate and issue invoices, debit & credit notes to the overseas office; maintain accurate export transaction records
- Monitor and update internal teams (sales, warehouse, finance) and customers on shipment progress; support export performance and forecasting
- Maintain and continuously improve export processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 23 years of experience in ocean export coordination, freight forwarding, or international logistics
- Deep understanding of ocean freight logistics, containerization, and Incoterms
- Expertise in international trade compliance regulations: export laws, customs clearance, EAR, ITAR, sanctions, AES filing
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing export documentation (HBL/MBL, SI, VGM, invoices, CO, chamber forms)
- Familiarity with freight management systems, shipping line portals, and logistics/export software
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documents, data entry, and compliance
- Proactive problem-solving skills to navigate export challenges, customs issues, delays, and documentation errors
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, clients, carriers, and customs authorities
- Coordination and negotiation capabilities for securing best shipping solutions and maintaining subcontractor relationships
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and export/logistics management systems
