Job Description

Job Scope:

  • Connect the company to Thai government authorities & relevant policy makers to support mutual benefits for Thailand & the company
  • Proactively provide insightful information to support the company in preparing business plans and compliance measures.
  • Represent and communicate the company's perspectives & interests to government and external stakeholders to support business needs and long-term sustainability.
  • Promote the company's brand & strengthen the company's reputation among external stakeholders
  • Works closely with country management and other relevant functional teams(e.g., Tax, Marketing, Legal, R&D).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively execute and manage strategies for External & Government Affairs function
  • Engage with, manage, and build strong relationships with government authorities, automotive associations and key stakeholders in Thailand to support long-term collaborations.
  • Enhance the company's profile and reputation through coordinated communications and knowledge sharing with key regulators, government officials, and policy makers, both directly and through relevant industry and trade associations.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to cross-functional business teams as a subject matter expert on regulatory issues and government relations.
  • Develop and implement a structured and integrated government relationsstrategy and program including policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and public policy communication.
  • Anticipate and identify regulatory and legislative challenges andopportunities, including political and social developments, that may impact the company's reputation, business performance, or future growth.
  • Monitor government affairs, public policy, and political developments in Thailand and provide insights to support business planning and decision-making related to policy and regulatory matters.

Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in Thailand, including government authorities and industry associations.
  • Experience working in an international environment or global companies is a plus
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas to support effective communication and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand regulatory developments and access potential business implications.
  • Ability to gather information from various sources and translate it into clear insights or briefings for management.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to a dynamic regulatory and policy environment.
  • Strong coordination skill with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher
  • More than 10 years of experiences in Government Affairs field
