Location: Initially in Japan office, then China Yard

As a dominant force in the energy and industrial sectors, they have constructed over 30% of the world's LNG production capacity and maintain a massive global footprint in oil refining, petrochemicals, and pharmaceutical infrastructure.

Scope

We are seeking a Fabrication Control Manager to lead the technical and operational oversight of large-scale fabrication for an international EPC project. This is a strategic role beginning with project alignment in Japan before transitioning to onsite yard management in China. The manager will be responsible for ensuring that fabrication sequences, quality standards, and subcontractor productivity align with strict project delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities

As the Fabrication Control Manager, you will own the end-to-end fabrication lifecycle for a major industrial project. You will act as the primary interface between engineering design and yard execution, ensuring that all structural and piping packages are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest Tier-1 EPC standards.

• Fabrication Governance: Establish and enforce fabrication control procedures across Japan and China locations.
• Subcontractor Management: Drive productivity and schedule compliance within the China fabrication yards.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential construction bottlenecks early and implement recovery plans to protect the project timeline.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all fabrication outputs mirror the project's technical specifications and international codes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of senior-level experience in Fabrication Control or Construction Management.
• Industry Pedigree: Mandatory background working for Tier-1 EPC contractors (e.g., global leaders in energy and infrastructure).
• Yard Expertise: Proven track record of managing large-scale fabrication in industrial yards.
• Mobility: Absolute readiness to mobilize to Japan for the initial phase and then relocate to China for the duration of the fabrication cycle.
