About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer (Data Center) to ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and performance of critical infrastructure within a data centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high availability of facility systems, supporting maintenance activities, monitoring critical equipment, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair critical electrical and mechanical systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of the data centre.
- Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance work orders within established deadlines.
- Support facility projects, including planning, supervision, testing, and handover activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Facilities Operations Centre (FOC), workshop, stores, and related areas.
- Investigate equipment failures and contribute to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and technical reports.
- Develop and maintain operational and maintenance procedures, including SOPs, EOPs, and emergency response drills.
- Support technical issue resolution, project coordination, vendor management, and reporting activities.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors to ensure compliance with site safety and operational standards.
- Monitor facility systems, alarms, and equipment performance through the Facilities Operations Centre.
- Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions, including EPMS, BMS, and Fire Protection Systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data centre operations, facilities maintenance, or critical environment management is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
