Serve as SPX's primary civil engineering authority for mega-facility developments, providing expert guidance on technical decisions, risks, and feasibility.
Lead the end-to-end planning, design review, and upper-level management of large-scale warehouse and industrial construction projects to ensure alignment with business expansion goals.
Translate commercial and operational requirements into actionable engineering plans, ensuring long-term durability, structural safety, and operational efficiency.
Oversee site assessment, layout planning, structural evaluation, and civil works design to ensure compliance with SPX standards and regulatory requirements.
Drive high-level communication with management, presenting project status, risk assessments, trade-off decisions, and strategic recommendations.
Guide team members in managing external stakeholders, including subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and landlords, ensuring quality execution and timely delivery.
Lead contract negotiations related to civil works, construction scope, technical specifications, and cost evaluations.
Ensure all civil engineering activities meet safety regulations, engineering best practices, and operational readiness criteria for go-live.
Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical specialists within the Mega Facility team, elevating SPX's internal engineering capabilities.
Support multi-facility expansion plans by standardizing engineering processes, construction guidelines, and facility technical principles across all new Shopee sites
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
5-8+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, warehouse, or infrastructure construction projects.
Proven track record leading engineering teams (5+ people) and overseeing high-value, complex construction programs.
Strong experience working with senior management or executive teams, with the ability to communicate technical issues in a clear, strategic, and business-oriented manner.
Deep understanding of civil works, structural design, site planning, regulatory compliance, and industrial facility requirements.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making capability, with experience handling contractors, consultants, and landlords.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare executive-level reports and recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and high-stake environment.
Experience in logistics, warehousing, industrial facilities, or mega-infrastructure development is preferred.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive design, execution, and on-time project completion
