About Our Client
Our client is a manufacturing plant based in the Samut Prakan area. Due to a recent retirement, they are seeking to hire a Factory Manager to manage this plant, employees, and full P&L.
The Factory Manager will be responsible for managing this plant with 100 people full-time employees while ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining the highest quality standards in this processing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to meet company objectives and deadlines.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure smooth production processes.
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train, mentor, and supervise production staff, including hiring and performance evaluations.
- Resolve production issues and address customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans for business growth and sustainability.
- Procure necessary resources to ensure the effective operation of the production department.
- Participate as an active member in safety, quality, and food safety committees; conduct accident reviews, investigations, and special safety assignments.
- Enforce all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Keep employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunities for advancement.
- Develop and implement improvements and changes in work instructions, job descriptions, and training needs.
- Address employee relation issues as needed.
- Ensure all plant operations comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, including HACCP, GMP, BRC, Organic Certifications, and other relevant compliance standards.
- Commit to and enforce strict safety protocols, reducing workplace hazards and ensuring employee well-being.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies to improve plant operations.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify waste reduction opportunities and optimize cost management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in the food processing or FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale production plants and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership in compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English for effective cross-border coordination.
- Willing to be hands-on and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
