Job Description

TOA Paint (Thailand) PCL is seeking potential candidates for the Position: Factory Manager to join the subsidiary company

Job Summary

The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring the efficient production of tile adhesive and grout products while achieving company objectives in productivity, quality, cost control, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role provides leadership across all functional departments and ensures alignment between operational performance and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Factory Operations Management

  • Lead and manage overall factory operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor plant performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize production processes to reduce costs, improve productivity, and minimize waste.

2. Production Planning & Control

  • Oversee production planning to meet customer demand and sales forecasts.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time achievement of production targets.
  • Analyze operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent production disruptions.

3. Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout raw material inspection, production processes, and finished goods.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer complaints related to product quality and implement corrective measures.
  • Support and maintain quality management systems and relevant certifications.

4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Control material costs and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Improve warehouse and logistics efficiency to support business growth.

5. Maintenance Management

  • Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment.
  • Minimize machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Plan and manage equipment upgrades, repairs, and capital investment projects.

6. Financial & Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage the factory's annual operating budget.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze plant performance and profitability.
  • Ensure effective cost control while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.

7. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce workplace accidents and environmental risks.
  • Lead safety audits and continuous SHE improvement programs.

8. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate and align activities among Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Human Resources departments.
  • Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  • Provide operational reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Drive organization-wide continuous improvement and transformation projects.

9. People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and employees across all departments.
  • Establish performance management systems and succession planning programs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure employee engagement and workforce development initiatives are effectively implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Factory Manager, Plant Manager, or Operations Manager role.
  • Experience in construction materials, tile adhesive, grout, cement-based products, dry mortar, or building chemicals industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Operations Management.
  • Expertise in Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, and Inventory Control.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial and cost management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other related management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
