Job Summary
The Buyer is responsible for managing merchandise assortment and purchasing plans to achieve sales targets, ensuring effective stock management, excellent customer service, and strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role also contributes to sales growth through trend-driven product selection and innovative selling strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product assortment and purchasing plans to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Ensure proper merchandise display and stock availability at stores; monitor stock levels and sell-through performance.
- Analyze sales performance and prepare regular reports and related analyses.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and branch regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by sourcing and recommending products that meet customer needs.
- Maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of all merchandise under responsibility.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations effectively.
- Prepare and develop capabilities to take on a supervisory or leadership role in the future.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external partners or suppliers.
- Build and maintain a base of loyal and repeat customers.
- Propose new ideas, trend-driven products, sales techniques, and strategies to enhance business performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- Strong computer skills (MS Office or relevant systems)
- Good command of English with the ability to communicate with international contacts
- Good personality with responsibility, integrity, and positive attitude
- Experience in sales, merchandising, or buying functions is an advantage
- Passion for products and awareness of market trends
- Strong prioritization, organizational, and coordination skills
