About the Role:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to oversee field service operations, service partner management, and process optimization in the renewable energy sector. This role requires hands-on experience in solar PV installations, commissioning, and energy storage solutions (BESS).
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to ensure efficient service delivery while maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Operations & Management:
- Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs for solar PV and energy storage systems (BESS).
- Ensure on-site service compliance with local work health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of service cases, spare parts inventory, usage, and financial expenses.
- Plan and coordinate tasks with other divisions to ensure timely job completion.
Service Partner & Customer Relations:
- Manage service partners, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and work quality assessments.
- Lead customer interactions, including long-term partnership discussions, technical consultations, and social engagement activities.
- Act as a key liaison between management, sales teams, service partners, and customers to support business growth.
Service Sales & Business Development (Optional):
- Conduct service sales activities to meet annual targets.
- Assist in the preparation of service offers, proposals, and contracts.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Industry Experience: 23 years in renewable energy (solar PV, power electronics, or BESS).
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on solar PV installation & commissioning experience (minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of energy storage systems and PV inverters.
- Experience in commercial, industrial (C&I), and utility-scale projects.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
- High level of commitment, responsiveness, and teamwork.
- Strong negotiation and customer relationship skills.
Languages:
- Fluent in English (spoken & written). Chinese language is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Willing to travel within the Asia-Pacific region when needed, with a focus on Southeast Asia
