Job Description

The Field Specialist applies standard techniques and procedures to deliver services across products, with responsibilities varying by experience level. Entry and intermediate roles work under supervision, while senior specialists lead junior staff, troubleshoot complex issues, recommend design improvements, and support planning and research activities. Intermediate and senior specialists serve as the primary client interface at the well site, managing service execution and on-site personnel. Senior roles additionally handle advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, security, quality, ethics, and compliance, ensuring all activities align with company policies, HSE standards, management systems, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by prioritizing Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environmental protection, demonstrating visible safety leadership and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure service quality and operational excellence by adhering to quality policies, maintaining equipment and work areas, and continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in daily operations, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), promptly reporting risks, incidents, and observations through approved systems.
  • Plan, prepare, and execute field operations including tool preparation, mobilization, job execution, data capture, reporting, and documentation required for timely client invoicing.
  • Test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot tools and equipment according to work instructions, policies, and competency levels, ensuring safe and reliable performance.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to recommend appropriate services, solutions, and optimizations, performing engineering checks and calculations as required by role level.
  • Act as the primary client interface at the well site (Intermediate and Senior levels), delivering superior service quality, managing on-site personnel, inventory, and customer relationships to support repeat business.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise field crews as applicable, supporting capability development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Investigate equipment or service failures, contribute to Root Cause Analysis, coordinate with R&M teams, and ensure timely closure of failure reports with clients.
  • Manage complex equipment installations and advanced technologies in the field (Senior level), and provide technical advice to management and client representatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, clearly conveying expectations, roles, responsibilities, and operational updates.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility by managing costs within approved budgets, following financial policies, and ensuring timely processing of expenses.
  • Take ownership of personal development by completing required training, engaging in regular performance discussions, and supporting talent development initiatives.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, ethical conduct, and commitment to company values and standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • 2 + - 4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Technical Certificate from an accredited Technical/Vocational Institute (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics
  • Working knowledge of mathematics, basic physics, and chemistry
  • Computer fundamentals and basic data handling skills
  • Strong critical thinking, active learning, listening, and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Understanding of quality control processes to ensure products and services meet required standards
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Physically capable of performing job-related tasks safely
  • Ability to sequence tasks, anticipate potential problems, and identify appropriate solutions
  • Effective and efficient operation of tools and machinery
  • Spatial and mathematical reasoning skills for assembly, repair, and modification of tools and equipment

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 50-75%
