Chief Financial Officer / Managing Director
Job Purpose
The Accounting & Finance Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end finance function of the retail business, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate statutory and management reporting, effective tax and compliance management, and strategic financial leadership. This role acts as a key business partner to senior management, supporting sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence across multi-store retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
- Act as a strategic finance business partner to the CEO/CFO and leadership team, providing insights to drive commercial performance and margin optimization.
- Support business expansion initiatives such as new store openings, renovations, and market entry through financial feasibility and ROI analysis.
Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with TFRS/IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Oversee consolidation and reporting for multi-entity and multi-store retail operations.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead statutory audits, tax audits, and liaise with external auditors, advisors, and regulators.
Taxation & Regulatory
- Oversee corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other relevant retail tax matters.
- Ensure full compliance with Thai Revenue Department regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Manage tax planning initiatives to optimize the company's tax position while remaining compliant.
Retail Finance & Cost Control
- Drive financial control over key retail metrics including sales performance, gross margin, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and store-level profitability.
- Partner with operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and working capital management.
- Oversee inventory accounting, costing methodologies, and stock provisions in line with retail best practices.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Set clear goals, performance standards, and succession plans for the finance organization.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical financial management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) mandatory
- CPD (Continuing Professional Development) license mandatory and active
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1215 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with significant exposure to retail or consumer businesses
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (Director / Head of Finance / Financial Controller level)
- Strong knowledge of TFRS/IFRS, statutory reporting, taxation, and internal controls
- Experience managing audits, tax matters, and regulatory compliance
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into business insights
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken)
