Finance & Accounting Manager

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Rama 2

Reports to: Managing Director / Finance Director

The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and financial management functions of the manufacturing business. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, compliance with statutory requirements, and supports management with financial analysis to drive operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial & Accounting Management

  • Manage full set of accounts (GL, AR, AP, FA, Inventory, Costing).
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and relevant authorities.

2. Costing & Manufacturing Finance

  • Oversee product costing, BOM validation, and standard cost updates.
  • Monitor production variances (material, labor, overhead).
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend cost improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with production, supply chain, and procurement teams on cost control.
  • Review inventory valuation and physical stock counts.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Support management with financial modeling and feasibility analysis.

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity planning.
  • Manage working capital (inventory, receivables, payables).
  • Maintain strong banking relationships.

5. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Develop and strengthen internal control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax).
  • Improve financial policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop accounting team members.
  • Provide coaching and performance management.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the finance function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA is preferred (or required if needed).
  • Minimum 58 years of accounting/finance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Good understanding of Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS).
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
