The Finance Business Partner Category acts as a strategic partner to Category teams, providing financial insights, analysis, and decision support to drive revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable business performance. This role plays a key part in forecasting, budgeting, NPD evaluation, trade investment control, and scenario analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead and support Annual Budget, Rolling Forecast, and Monthly Forecast processes for assigned categories
- Analyze financial performance vs. Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year
- Monitor and evaluate category profitability and margin performance
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
2. Category Business Partnering
- Partner closely with Marketing, and Category teams to support business decisions
- Analyze sales performance, pricing strategy, product mix, and promotional effectiveness
- Support the development of category growth strategies and financial targets
- Conduct financial feasibility of New Product Development (NPDs)
4. A&P and Trade Investment Management
- Monitor and control A&P (Advertising & Promotion) and Trade spending budgets for the assigned category
- Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns and trade promotions
- Provide recommendations to optimize investment efficiency and spending effectiveness
5. Scenario & Business Analysis
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis related to pricing, cost changes, sales volume, and promotional strategies
- Assess business risks and opportunities
- Support decision-making through data-driven financial modeling
6. Reporting & Process Improvement
- Develop and enhance financial models, reporting tools, and dashboards
- Improve planning processes and reporting accuracy
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- Minimum 68 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Business Partnering, or FP&A
- Experience in FMCG or Consumer Goods industry is highly preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience in SAP, Power BI, or BI tools is a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High business acumen with strategic thinking capability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment
