A commercially minded Finance Controller role. You will be working closely with the Country Managing Director, Sales, Commercial, and Operations leaders as a trusted advisor on competitor strategy, and margin, while providing senior oversight of an accounting team that runs the day-to-day books and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable business performance.
- Provide financial insights and commercial recommendations to support pricing strategies, customer profitability, product portfolio optimization, and investment decisions.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis, variance reporting, and KPI dashboards to enable timely management decisions.
- Evaluate business cases, capital investments, new product launches, and commercial initiatives through robust financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Support contract negotiations and commercial agreements by assessing financial risks and returns.
- Drive gross margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Influence senior leadership through proactive business partnering, challenging assumptions, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Ensure accurate month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Lead process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and strengthen financial governance.
- Develop and mentor finance team members while fostering a high-performance, business-oriented finance culture.
Key Requirement:
- Track record partnering with commercial/sales teams and directly influencing deals, pricing, or margin outcomes
- Technical accounting and controls background strong enough to credibly lead an accounting team
