Job Description
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across assigned business entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with country finance teams, shared service centers, and regional stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial information.
- Ensure the integrity of financial records, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements through a robust control environment.
- Oversee statutory accounting, Local GAAP reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on financial reporting matters, accounting judgments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor financial risks, exposures, and opportunities, providing recommendations to business and finance leadership.
- Review commercial agreements and contracts, providing financial and risk management insights.
- Act as the primary finance contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead statutory, tax, and group audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Partner with tax and treasury teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial obligations.
- Work closely with business leaders to support performance management, growth initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver financial analysis, management reporting, and business insights to support strategic decisions.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
- Lead working capital reviews and cash collection improvement initiatives.
- Drive finance transformation projects, including process optimization, system implementation, and operating model enhancement.
- Promote strong governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Financial Controller Should Have
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including senior controllership responsibility within multinational organizations.
- Strong technical knowledge of Thai Local GAAP, statutory reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing statutory audits and relationships with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Experience operating within shared services or Global Delivery Centre (GDC) environments.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance compliance requirements and business objectives.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.
- Experience working across Southeast Asia markets is advantageous.
- Prior exposure to professional services, consulting environments, finance transformation projects, or matrix organizations would be highly beneficial.
