Finance Controller

The Finance Controller is responsible for leading the company's financial management, ensuring strong financial governance while supporting business growth. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business partnering with commercial, supply chain, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in FMCG environments with a focus on profitability analysis, cost management, and operational finance.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Support management in financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Costing & Cost Control
- Oversee product costing, cost analysis, and margin analysis.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, raw materials, and production efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across operations and supply chain.
Business Partnering
- Partner with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to support commercial and operational decisions.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, promotions, and product profitability.
- Support business expansion and investment decisions through financial analysis.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow planning and working capital optimization.
- Monitor inventory levels, receivables, and payables to ensure healthy cash flow.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Strengthen financial controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 812 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 35 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, or consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
- Expertise in costing and cost analysis within manufacturing environments.
- Strong business partnering and commercial finance mindset.
