A leading organization is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic and hands-on financial leadership for Thailand, with regional oversight across Southeast Asia. This role is a key member of the Thailand leadership team and partners closely with regional stakeholders to drive financial performance, governance, and sustainable growth.
The position has end-to-end responsibility for finance, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, compliance, working capital, and finance systems. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with a practical, execution-focused mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Job Role:
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Partner with country and regional leadership to drive profitability, cash flow, and working capital performance.
- Provide clear financial insights and challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Act as a trusted business partner to commercial and operational teams in Thailand and across SEA.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for Thailand and the region.
- Prepare and present monthly financial results, including P&L, cash flow, and performance analysis.
- Deliver concise variance analysis, KPIs, and management commentary for senior stakeholders.
Finance Operations, Controls & Compliance
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Maintain strong internal controls, governance, and compliance with local statutory and tax requirements.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with Thailand labor regulations.
Working Capital & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital optimization.
- Oversee AR/AP, customer credit, and vendor management to minimize risk and improve efficiency.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors in Thailand.
Finance Transformation & Systems
- Drive process improvements and standardization across Thailand and SEA.
- Lead finance system enhancements, automation, and digital initiatives.
- Act as finance IT lead for Thailand and regional finance activities.
People Leadership
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing finance team based in Thailand.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (MBA/CPA preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a regional scope.
- Strong business partnering experience with senior leadership.
- Proven people leadership and team development capability.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ERP experience required.
- Excellent communication skills in a professional, cross-cultural environment.
- High integrity and strong commercial mindset.
