The Position
Finance Enterprise Partner - Roche Pharma Thailand & New Markets
Role
A Finance Enterprise Partner (FEP) leverages the broad strategic financial and analytical expertise and perspective to proactively provide insights, set objectives and drive initiatives that will ensure a sustainable business. The FEP is a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen who leverages this deep understanding of financials to guide decision-making, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across Thailand and the New Markets (Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos). As part of the broader Finance community, the FEP will be committed to drive outcomes on an above country level.
The Opportunity
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Insights & Analytics
- Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders such as Disease Area teams, Access and Business Enablement to provide impactful insights, create analyses and ensure growth
- Tracks performance metrics to enable the organization to make strategic and sound financial decisions
- Proactively provides insights by leveraging relevant sources of information
- Sets objectives and drives initiatives to ensure a sustainable business
- Co-creates business cases together with the Access team and based on Business Enablement's assumptions & inputs to help unlock business opportunities
- Uses predictive and statistical modeling techniques to solve challenges, uncover opportunities and develop solutions
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities and develops insightful recommendations on strategic direction
- Acts as an industry analyst to surface key industry trends
Business Planning & Reporting
- Leading regular updates of the Business Plan (Sales & Opex) in close collaboration with Disease Area teams & Strategic Planning
- Drives resource allocation process & decisions, both short and long term to maximize value to patients, the healthcare system and Roche
- Oversees the financial performance of the affiliate and engages in timely business discussions, reflecting any updates in the Business Plan
- Performs financial month end closing and related activities and supports the centralized Roche Services & Solutions team as required
Partnering with Internal and External Stakeholders
- Acts as a proactive and critical thought partner to the business teams (e.g. Disease Area teams) in shaping the long-term direction of Roche and by contributing to short- & mid-term outcomes
- Partners and negotiates with external stakeholders to co-create new innovative business models which enable new opportunities and growth
Compliance
- Is aware of, adheres to, actively ensures, lives and monitors compliance with all relevant rules and regulations to protect Roche's license to operate
- Owns and supports the relevant internal financial controls to ensure financial compliance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Drives outcomes by joining above-country initiatives in APAC, Pharma International and Roche Global
- Identifies, analyzes and drives continuous process improvements based on prioritization and relevance to business needs
- Leads process harmonization, simplification and standardization by leveraging the network as well as automation and digitalization
- Supports cross-functional projects as the Finance representative
- Assists in the development and preservation of the company culture; encourages open communication and liaisons across the affiliate and the broader Roche network
- Adheres to company (both local and global) policies and procedures and applicable laws at all times, including Health & Safety requirements
Who You Are

- Understanding of corporate finance, financial modelling, insights collection & trend prognosis
- Capability of data modeling to guide decision-making, solve problems, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the affiliate
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, combined with effective business judgment and ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders
- Organized, strategically focused, detail-oriented way of working and ability to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
- Strong business acumen and dedication to solve business challenges
- Leadership skills
- Sense of curiosity and a strong eagerness to learn, develop and contribute outside the comfort zone
- Stays abreast of trends in the external environment that could impact the business currently and in the future

Experience & Knowledge
- Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Finance or Economics (minimum)
- MBA / Post Graduate in either Finance or Business preferred
- Relevant experience in a finance function of a multinational organization
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Experience in working in an agile / networked organization is a plus
- Excellence in SAP
