Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Control

  • Supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing and reporting.
  • Maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with IHG and statutory policies.
  • Monitor bank reconciliations, daily cash flow, and credit card settlements.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for management and ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, audits, and statutory filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with IHG's financial policies, controls self-assessments (CSA), and brand standards.

Business Support & Analysis

  • Partner with department heads to provide financial insights, track performance, and support decision-making.
  • Monitor key financial metrics including GOP, payroll percentage, and cost control measures.
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
  • Support feasibility studies, investment analysis, and financial modelling for business projects.

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Provide financial training and awareness to non-financial managers to strengthen hotel-wide financial acumen.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Finance Department.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget and capital expenditure plan.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and ensure alignment with the budget.
  • Optimize working capital management, credit policies, and collection processes.
