On behalf of our client, a well-established company specializing in intellectual property (IP) services, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Finance & Accounts Department at its headquarters in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts Department, ensuring alignment with company goals and supporting overall business operations.
- Possess expertise in cross-country and cross-border transactions, including handling multiple branch transactions.
- Oversee the accounts team in operational accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
- Assist the Managing Director in financial planning, analysis, and the preparation/submission of timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and trend analyses.
- Monitor the company's financial health by analyzing key financial data and industry trends.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Manage communications with tax agents and company secretaries.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting systems, policies, and procedures in line with best practices.
- Manage the full set of accounts with the team, ensuring timely payments and efficient collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Facilitate training and continuous development of finance and accounting staff.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software (preferably Zoho) and Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
