Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and oversee the production of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure successful and efficient audit processes.
- Work closely with other entities within the group to support intercompany related activities and reconciliation.
- Submit all required reports and complete all month-end and year-end activities within stated deadlines.
Management Reporting
- Develop and maintain regular management reports to provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Provide financial analyses and performance metrics.
- Present financial results and trends to senior management and other stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and cost efficiency.
Process Improvement and Systems Management
- Set up and continuously identify and implement improvements to financial reporting processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place for reporting and data integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments and entities to optimize financial systems and reporting tools.
- Participate in the implementation of ERP system for a contract manufacturing environment
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of Finance specialists, fostering professional development and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and strategy, to ensure alignment of financial goals and reporting processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor or higher in Accounting.
- Professional certification: CPD (Must), other CPA, CMA, ACCA (preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a strong focus on reporting and cost accounting.
- English: Upper Intermediate - Business Level
- Familiar with local governance requirements and ensure compliance which is relevant to the business.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Experience in working with multiple entities across different countries, particularly in Asia will be essential.
