About the Role

As a Finance Manager at Origin Medical Research Lab, you must realize the set business objectives of the company by managing the funds effectively to meet the bottom line as budgeted, complying with the company's statutory obligations, and avoiding litigation. 

Accounting:

• Able to do day-to-day accounting in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Maintaining the fixed assets register.
• Monthly closing of books of accounts 
• Making payments to vendors on time.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure budgets align with business objectives.
• Identify potential financial risks, such as cash flow shortages or unexpected expenses, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Payroll Management:

• Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
• Coordinate with HR to manage payroll deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with local and national payroll regulations.

Compliance Filings:

• Prepare and submit financial reports and compliance filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in internal and external audits.

Financial Modeling:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support business decision-making.
• Analyze financial data and create detailed reports for management review.
• Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate potential business opportunities and risks.

Investor Management:

• Support investor relations by preparing financial statements, reports, and presentations to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Assist in managing communication with investors and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of investor transactions and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.

Who are we looking for 

• Bachelor's degree in B.Com, MBA, or CA-Inter.
• 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Statutory and legal compliance with audit standards and government regulations. 
• Strong knowledge of accounting, GST, and income taxes.
• Basic knowledge of ZOHO Books. 
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English.
• Proficiency in computing skills, enhancing productivity, and facilitating efficient use of technology for various tasks.
• A person with a can-do approach who can work well under pressure and manage emergencies efficiently.
