Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Manage the full accounting function for the Thailand subsidiary, including monthly/year-end closing, financial statements, account reconciliation, and compliance with Thai TFRS, group accounting policies, and BOI requirements.
  • Tax & Transfer Pricing: Oversee VAT, WHT, CIT, payroll tax, social security, customs and other statutory filings; manage transfer pricing documentation and related-party transactions; monitor changes in Thai tax regulations and advise HQ on compliance and tax planning.
  • BOI Compliance: Take full responsibility for BOI post-investment compliance, including performance reporting, investment and production commitments, tax incentive tracking, BOI project documentation, financial segregation between promoted/non-promoted activities, and BOI inspections.
  • Cost & Management Accounting: Establish and improve cost accounting processes covering materials, labor and manufacturing overhead; support cost control, gross margin analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow & Internal Controls: Manage cash flow and fund utilization, including cross-border fund transfers and foreign exchange compliance; establish internal controls and coordinate internal/external audits.
  • Government & Statutory Compliance: Liaise with the BOI, Revenue Department, DBD, Ministry of Commerce, banks and other authorities on financial, tax and regulatory matters.
  • ERP & Finance Operations: Support ERP implementation or optimization, preferably Kingdee, and ensure appropriate configuration for accounting, tax and BOI-related processes.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop the local finance team, strengthen compliance awareness, and ensure efficient day-to-day finance operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPD certification is required; Thai CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of finance/accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a finance management role within a manufacturing company.
  • Hands-on experience managing the finance and compliance functions of a BOI-promoted company in Thailand.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai TFRS, VAT, WHT, CIT, payroll tax, social security, customs, transfer pricing, and BOI regulations.
  • Familiar with Thai statutory filings, including PP.30/PP.36, P.N.D.1/3/53/50/51, DBD financial statement submissions, and audit coordination.
  • Understanding of Thailand foreign exchange controls, cross-border fund transfers, foreign debt reporting, and profit remittance.
  • Experience with Kingdee or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in a Chinese-invested or multinational company in Thailand is preferred.
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills; Chinese is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
