Position Overview
Our client, a global manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to oversee operational finance, cost governance, and reporting across our manufacturing and supply chain footprint. Based in Surat Thani, this role leads financial planning, standard costing frameworks, process improvements, and variance analysis while partnering with operational, commercial, and corporate finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual operational finance planning cycles, variance analyses, and performance reporting for management review.
- Cost Accounting & Governance: Oversee standard costing models, product margin reviews, annual cost roll-overs, and inventory valuation controls across multi-region operations.
- Process & Systems Improvement: Collaborate with IT and operational stakeholders to automate reporting workflows, standardize financial processes, and enhance data accuracy.
- Operational Variance Tracking: Monitor purchase price variances (PPV) and operational savings initiatives to ensure financial visibility and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Business Partnership: Deliver financial modeling, scenario analysis, and feasibility assessments to support strategic operational decision-making.
- Data & Regional Integrity: Maintain data accuracy, proper revenue and cost categorization, and compliance across regional operating units.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field. Professional certification (CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of finance experience within manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in standard costing, inventory accounting, advanced Excel modeling, and enterprise ERP systems.
- Regional Exposure: Prior experience managing multi-site or regional financial structures is advantageous.
- Competencies: Business-level English communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Location: Based in or able to commute to Surat Thani, Thailand.
