Summary
We are looking for a Finance Accountant to join Mycronic's High Volume division working. Responsibilities
- Factory Financial Operations
- Manage end-to-end accounting activities for the manufacturing facility, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory control, and fixed asset management.
- Ensure compliance with Thai Accounting Standards (TAS) and corporate financial policies.
- Handle BOI-related accounting tasks, including separate tracking of BOI-promoted activities, calculation of BOI corporate income tax exemptions, and preparation of BOI annual performance reports (Form FBT, etc.) in coordination with the BOI unit with the support of BOI advisory
- Cost Control & Analysis
- Perform monthly factory cost allocation, analyze production variances (material/labor/overhead), and provide actionable insights for cost optimization.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and inventory valuation accuracy.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare the monthly reporting package according to the HQ requirements.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings (e.g., VAT PP30, Corporate Income Tax PND50, Withholding Tax) within deadlines.
- Manage BOI tax privileges, including submission of BOI exemption applications, reconciliation of promoted vs. non-promoted revenue/costs, and ensure accurate BOI tax computation in line with BOI regulations.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual BOI performance reports (e.g., Forms FBT 01, 02, 03, and investment certificate renewals) to the Board of Investment within prescribed deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate the annual BOI audit, including preparing cost-segregation schedules, collecting supporting documents, and providing timely responses to BOI auditors inquiries.
- Liaise with local tax authorities and external auditors to ensure compliance with Thai tax regulations
- ERP System Management
- Process daily transactions in SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems (e.g., AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliation).
- Maintain master data (cost centers, profit centers, material codes) specific to factory operations, including BOI project codes for cost segregation.
- Cross-functional Support
- Partner with procurement and logistics teams to verify supplier invoices and inventory records.
- Working with customer service and custom department for the Certificate of Origin.
- Communication with HQ
- Feedback on the questions and queries from HQ and prepare the documentation or analysis from HQ.
- Provide regular BOI-related financial reports and analysis to HQ, including impact of BOI benefits on overall tax position and cash flow.
Candidate Profile
- Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in factory/finance roles within manufacturing industries (e.g., automotive, electronics, FMCG).
- Proven experience in BOI accounting and compliance for manufacturing entities, including handling BOI audits and privilege calculations.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules (priority given to SAP users) or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for financial modeling and analysis.
- Regulatory Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of Thai tax laws, BOI incentives, and factory accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of BOI regulatory framework, including eligibility criteria, investment promotion categories, and reporting obligations (e.g., Form FBT 01, 02, 03, and annual investment certificates).
- Experience with month-end closing and statutory audits in a manufacturing context.
- Language & Soft Skills
- Fluent English (written/spoken) for cross-border reporting and communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to clearly convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders (production, procurement, logistics, customs) and HQ.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced factory environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
Renumeration
- Salary is 40-70K/month THB
