Role Purpose
This role will assume full Finance Head responsibilities for the Thailand Operating Company (OC).
The successful candidate will transition into a full-fledged Finance Head role overseeing end-to-end finance operations, including those currently handled by the shared services centre.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Lead the full spectrum of finance functions for the Thailand OC, including:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Financial & Management Reporting
- Taxation and statutory compliance
- Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
- Treasury and cashflow management
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and closing processes
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, and financial discipline
2. Business Partnering & Strategy
- Act as a strategic business partner to the MD/GM and senior leadership team
- Provide insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making
- Support long-term strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Drive financial evaluation of capital investments, expansions, and integration projects
3. Transition & Succession Management
- Work closely with the incumbent CFO during the transition phase
- Gradually take over responsibilities to ensure continuity and stability
- Support integration projects and ensure smooth knowledge transfer
4. Shared Services Integration
- Collaborate with regional shared services for AP, AR, GL, and treasury activities
- Evaluate and optimise operating model between Thailand OC and shared services
- Ensure service quality, SLAs, and controls are maintained
5. Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure compliance with:
- Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS)
- Local tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Group accounting policies and governance standards
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, regulators, banks, and head office
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across regions
6. Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
- Lead cost optimisation and performance improvement efforts
- Champion group initiatives and ensure effective implementation
7. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the local finance team
- Build succession pipeline and capabilities within the function
Requirements
Education & Professional Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Professional qualification preferred:
- ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent
For Thailand context:
- Membership with the Federation of Accounting Professions (FAP) Thailand is highly advantageous
- Must meet qualifications to sign off statutory accounts in Thailand
Experience
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 5–8 years in leadership roles
- Experience as Finance Head / Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager
- Experience in manufacturing or semiconductor industry preferred
- Prior experience in Thailand finance environment is strongly preferred
- Experience working with shared services and regional structures is an advantage
