Job Description

Our client is a global leader in advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions, serving the energy, industrial, and defense sectors with deep technical expertise and operational excellence. They are seeking a Financial Controller to lead a team of eight finance professionals and act as strategic partner and successor to the Finance Director. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on strengthening financial governance, controls, compliance, and system integrity, while driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting; lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including review of financial statements and management reporting packages
  • Drive the controlling function through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control, embedding financial discipline across business units
  • Act as the key contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring audit readiness, timely closure of findings, and full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Streamline financial processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and strengthen internal controls and governance structures
  • Co-lead ERP upgrades and digital finance initiatives, validating system configuration, master data, and posting logic to safeguard data integrity
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of eight finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Partner with business stakeholders by providing financial insights, modeling, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, controlling, or finance management, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong controlling background with proven exposure to internal and external audit engagements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP systems and system validation, with the ability to drive digital finance initiatives.
  • High integrity, strong analytical capability, sharp attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Thai and English
