Position Summary
Be a strategic and operational Financial Controller to lead our finance function in Thailand.
This comprises responsibility for 3 Parker businesses in Thailand – Parker Thailand Sales Company (Trading) in Bangkok, Parker Veriflo manufacturing facility in Rayong and Lord ASEAN group that comprises entities in Thailand (Samut Prakan), Malaysia and Indonesia.
Partner with the respective country management teams of each of the 3 businesses to drive profitable growth.
Oversee the finance and accounting functions of Parker operations in Thailand as well as for the financial and statutory requirements of Parker entities in Thailand. This include the supervision and efficient operations of the accounting teams and internal controls as well as working with other stakeholders to ensure the proper keeping of accounting records in accordance with Corporate policies, local regulatory requirements, US GAAP and local FRS.
Other functions include annual budgeting, regular forecasting, cash management, corporate governance, compliance with corporate policies and SOX controls, participating in business strategy planning, reviewing of work process to improve operations efficiency and internal controls.

Key responsibilities of Position
- Ensures all Corporate, financial, and internal control policies and procedures are followed; and local company policies/procedures are developed, implemented and maintained/monitored.
- Be a business partner to the respective management teams of each of the 3 businesses and provide business analysis, advice and support to the Sales & Operation Manager and business leaders.
- Actively engage with and lead other stakeholders to manage the entity's credit and collection risks as well as improve collection efficiency
- Ensure integrity of financial accounts and reports
- Manages the accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial and management reports.
- Responsible for annual budgeting, business planning and other regular forecasting.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Corporate policies, internal control procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements (including maintaining of Sarbanes Oxley documentation).
- Ensure compliance with regard to Companies Act, corporate tax, indirect tax and any other local regulations.
- Supervise the accounting team and provide necessary leadership, strong guidance and development of staff.
- Ensure proper costing and accounting of the value-added and revenue recognition (in accordance with US GAAP on revenue recognition).
- Manage the cash flow of the company and assist in treasury (including liaising with bankers)
- Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits.
- Tax preparation (local and US tax reporting) and liaise with the external tax agent on the tax computation.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or ACCA.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in this field, with at least 5 years in capacity as Controller or equivalent in or for a Thailand incorporated entity.
- Working experience in US or international MNC with either industrial or manufacturing activities.
- Experience and good working knowledge of ERP system (knowledge of JDE will be an added advantage)
- Proficient in the local accounting standards, in US GAAP and in Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Proficient in Income Tax and local taxes.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Experience dealing with the Board of Investment (BOI) Thailand.
- Key attributes required – honesty, hands-on, independent, analytical, initiative, detailed and objective driven as well as ability to understand business issues
- A team player with good inter-personal and English communication (written and verbal) skills
- Has supervisory experience with ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to balance the demands of local operational needs with corporate reporting requirements.
