We're seeking a Finance professional who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges for our client.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the Financial & Costing function within a leading manufacturing organization, partnering closely with Plant and Business leaders to drive cost transparency, profitability, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee costing and financial controlling activities for the manufacturing operation, ensuring accurate and reliable cost information.
- Develop and maintain costing methodologies, standard costs, product costing, and cost variance analysis in line with accounting principles and business requirements.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and profitability, identify key cost drivers, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Initiate and implement cost improvement, process enhancement, and financial control initiatives to improve cost transparency and business performance.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure accurate costing and effective cost management.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting related to manufacturing costs and financial performance.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls, accounting principles, and costing practices are applied across the business.
- Act as a key Finance partner to management, challenging assumptions and providing fact-based financial insights for decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Cost Accounting, Controlling, Manufacturing Finance, FP&A, or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Strong manufacturing experience with the ability to understand the connection between operations, costs, and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, build, and improve processes, rather than simply maintain existing practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
