The Role
A skilled and creative Flavorist is sought to join the Asia-Pacific operations, based in Thailand. Focused on the sweet and beverages categories, you will lead flavor creation and development projects for regional and international clients, working closely with commercial and application teams to deliver winning briefs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and create flavors across sweet (confectionery, dairy, bakery) and beverage (soft drinks, RTD, juice, tea/coffee) applications
- Manage brief submissions from initial concept through to final approval, ensuring technical compliance and sensory excellence
- Adapt existing formulas to meet local taste preferences, regulatory requirements, and raw material availability in Southeast Asia
- Conduct sensory evaluations and maintain rigorous documentation of all formulation work
- Collaborate with sales and application teams to support client pitches and technical presentations
- Stay current on regional flavor trends, consumer insights, and the competitive landscape across Asia-Pacific
- Ensure all creations comply with FEMA, IOFI, and relevant regional regulatory standards
- Manage and optimise raw material usage in line with cost and sustainability targets
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as a Flavorist or Junior Flavorist in a flavor house or FMCG environment
- Hands-on experience in sweet and/or beverage flavor categories is essential
- Formal flavor training (SFFI, IOFI-accredited program, or equivalent) preferred
- Strong sensory skills with a well-developed flavor palette
- Familiarity with Southeast Asian taste profiles is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with flavor formulation software and lab tools
- Good command of English; Thai or French language skills are a plus
- Willingness to be based in Thailand (relocation support available for international candidates)
