Job Description

Job Purpose

As Fleet Operations Manager, you will plan and manage the dispatch operations of our Concrete Mixer Truck fleet, ensuring your team works with clear, systematic processes that support company goals. You'll be responsible for driver discipline and compliance with both company and client requirements — with particular focus on fuel management and cost control - while partnering closely with clients and principals to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.

You'll report to the Chief Commercial Officer and lead a team including Dispatch Supervisors and Dispatch Officers (Vehicle Allocation).

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch Planning & Client Service

  • Plan daily dispatch operations to meet client and principal requirements
  • Establish dispatch procedures aligned with client/principal standards
  • Ensure drivers comply with company regulations and requirements
  • Coordinate with clients and principals to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain fleet readiness of 90%+ and on-time delivery performance

Policy Communication & Team Leadership

  • Cascade company policy and targets through monthly team meetings
  • Act as advisor and problem-solver for direct reports
  • Train and support dispatch staff on all operational matters
  • Monitor team compliance with company and client regulations

Performance Management

  • Review subordinate performance accurately and on schedule for downstream processing
  • Support company-wide initiatives and programs
  • Conduct objective, evidence-based performance evaluations
  • Ensure billing/ticket and fuel data entry is complete and accurate (1st–15th, closed by the 30th of each month)

General Management

  • Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
  • Support corrective action processes and minimize CAR (Corrective Action Requests)
  • Maintain high client/principal satisfaction
  • Undertake other duties as assigned

Working Relationships

  • Coordinates daily with Fleet Maintenance (vehicle readiness/repairs), Safety (driver training, accident coordination), HR (driver recruitment and training), Finance (billing, cash advances), Procurement (vehicle documentation), and Client (delivery volumes and customer satisfaction).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, any field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in dispatch/transportation operations
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role within land transportation or logistics
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, client requirements, and Department of Land Transport laws
  • Familiarity with nationwide transport routes
  • Product knowledge relevant to truck loading and transport methods
  • Computer literacy and working English proficiency
  • Strong planning, coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills
  • High attention to detail and reliability
