Food & Beverage Manager

Purpose of Job:
To function as the Business Manager and Marketing Specialist for the Food & Beverage Department, and to ensure that all the outlets and events service operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administrations
- Ensure Food & Beverage operations align with corporate strategy and brand standards.
- Oversee departmental manuals, communication, and operational effectiveness.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional guest service and uphold the brand promise across all outlets.
- Actively engage with guests, resolve complaints promptly, and support a positive team culture.
- Monitor daily operations, especially during peak periods, and ensure quality standards.
- Support cross-department collaboration and maintain consistency in product quality.
- Review guest feedback and implement improvements.
Financial Performance
- Drive profitability through efficient staffing, cost control, and smart scheduling.
- Lead annual business planning, forecasting, and revenue/yield strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, reporting, and asset management.
- Develop and update the annual Food & Beverage marketing plan.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to keep operations innovative and competitive.
- Encourage PR and promotional opportunities to grow revenue.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Uphold ISO22000 and food safety policies across all kitchens.
- Lead and train the team in food safety standards, ensuring full compliance.
- Assign food safety roles and monitor performance of the FSMS.
People Management
- Lead recruitment, training, development, and performance reviews for Food & Beverage teams.
- Maintain grooming standards and foster creativity, engagement, and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, safety regulations, and employee engagement action plans.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain strong industry relationships and stay updated on local and global F&B trends.
- Uphold high personal and team presentation standards.
- Perform other duties as required to support overall hotel success.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Hospitality or related field.
- 5 years of Food & Beverage Management experience in upscale hotels or resorts.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, strategic planning, financial and budgeting.
- Excellent guest service mindset and problem-solving ability
- Familiar with Food & Beverage systems and inventory.
