We have a great career opportunity for an experienced Footwear Quality Control Officer working within our quality/sourcing team. As a member of the team you will help to ensure that all Dr. Martens products shipped meet Dr. Martens agreed Quality Standards. You will be working as part of a high-performing team that will develop, communicate and ensure that the factory adheres to all of Dr. Martens quality policies and procedures.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
- Ensure all established testing procedures are being adhered to before, during and after production
- Ensure that the standards and Procedures requested by the Regional Quality Manager have been implemented by the Factory
- Ensure that the factory operates in accordance with our agreed standards and procedures, during all production processes
- Ensure that all final inspections follow Dr. Martens AQL procedure making sure there is always a gold seal and product specification. Ensure that no product is shipped without the approval of a Dr. Martens Regional Quality Manager
- Ensure that regular and accurate reports of the quality status is communicated to line managers
- Ensure that the reporting of any failure to meet Dr. Martens standards and procedures is documented and passed onto the quality team within the factory and is promptly reported to the Regional Quality Manager
- Ensure that all relationships with factory staff are honest, consistent, and transparent
- Assist in the investigation of any customer complaints
YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES
- At least five years of experience working with Asian footwear / leather goods factories
- Technically competent shoemaker with extensive knowledge of footwear constructions materials and all areas of footwear and component manufacture
- Experienced in Quality control within the footwear industry
- Familiar with AQL standard and good knowledge of safety and regulation
- Prior experience of working in a branded footwear environment with knowledge of product development, bulk manufacture, quality management procedures
- Strong work ethic, detailed oriented and good time management
- Product knowledge in leather boots, brown shoes, and/or safety footwear would be an asset
- Speaks native Vietnamese, fluent English; and Chinese will be highly preferred
- Eligible to work in Thailand / Laos without a work permit
- Able to work in Khon Kaen Thailand and/or Laos
