The $500B+ global agency services market is old and broken, and AI just blew the supply side open: 100+ AI-native services launched in the past year alone, with no platform connecting buyers to the new shape of supply. That gap has been open for years. We're building the company that fills it.
Role summary
The Founding Product & UI/UX Designer is responsible for shaping both the product experience and design foundations of Matchii.
This role works closely with founders, product, engineering, and business teams to define product strategy, validate ideas, and transform complex workflows into intuitive, elegant, and user-centered experiences.
Beyond designing interfaces, this role helps identify user problems, prioritize product opportunities, and continuously improve the customer journey through research, experimentation, and data-driven decision making.
As one of the earliest product hires, this role will have significant influence over product direction, user experience, design systems, and the overall product vision of the company.
What you'll own
Design end-to-end user experiences across Matchii's products, from discovery and wireframes to polished interfaces and shipped features.
Transform complex workflows, data, and AI-powered capabilities into intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align business goals with user needs.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to bring ideas from concept to production.
Conduct user research, gather feedback, and continuously improve product usability and customer experience.
Build and maintain Matchii's design system, interaction patterns, and visual standards.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate design workflows, prototyping, research, and creative exploration.
Help shape product direction, design culture, and the overall user experience strategy as an early member of the team.
Product Discovery :Partner with founders to identify user problems, validate hypotheses, and shape product strategy before features are built.
Product Thinking:Translate customer insights, business goals, and technical constraints into product experiences that solve real customer problems.
Product Prioritization:Collaborate with founders and engineering to prioritize features, define MVP scope, and balance user value with development effort.
Metrics & Iteration:Use qualitative research, customer interviews, usability testing, analytics, and product metrics to continuously improve user experience and product outcomes.
AI Experience Design:Design AI-native product experiences that make AI capabilities understandable, trustworthy, and useful for customers.
Who we're looking for
5+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or related design roles.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, problem solving, and shipped digital products.
Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and prototyping tools.
Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and design systems.
Ability to simplify complex workflows, data, and user journeys into intuitive experiences.
Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience working on SaaS, marketplaces, AI products, workflow software, or B2B platforms. Defining product requirements alongside founders or product managers.
AI-native mindset with hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance design, research, prototyping, and productivity.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Comfortable working in fast-moving environments and excited to help build products from zero to one.
Product Thinking :Strong product thinking with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Comfortable using data, experimentation, and user feedback to iterate on products.
Understanding of product metrics such as activation, engagement, retention, and conversion.
