Freelance Bond Analyst

The analyst is expected to work independently and without extensive supervision in order to generate his/her own research reports. This is a chance to work remotely anywhere in the world to work with like-minded and experienced credit research analysts to make a difference by generating independent and actionable credit reseach. We do not seek an inexperienced analyst and those without investment research writing background should not apply.

Key Responsibilities

Generate best quality credit research report related to his/her sector specialities on local currency bond markets with an initial focus on Thailand

Participate in client calls on respective credit names under his/her coverage.

Author in-depth, timely and insightful credit research on Thai issuers, industry, macro, rating methodologies, credit trends, special comments, etc.

Adhere to established research policies, processes and procedures at all times

Build and maintain relationship with executives/stakeholders in the credit market, which includes issuers, investors, and intermediaries worldwide.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in a business-related field, preferably with MBA, MSc in Finance or Economics, CFA/CAIA/FRM destinations

5+ years of work experience in investment research at a reputable financial institution or a rating agency (those without research writing experience may not apply)

• Extensive experience analyzing local currency bond markets

Unquestionable integrity with impeccable compliance records

Strong advocacy for environment, social development, and governance as a proper way to invest

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Highly developed organizational skills, with a keen focus on attention to details

Open-minded and strong will to introduce best practice

International mind-set and experience working outside home country preferred

Highly effective and Near-Native verbal, written and listening communications skills in English. Fluency in Thai is required.

Location can be anywhere in the world but we give priorities to the following: Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, UAE.
