Job Description

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a highly capable AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and architecture within CI/CD workflows on AWS. This role combines hands-on AI development with software delivery discipline to create scalable, secure, and production-ready AI-powered solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation in GenAI and NLP, and ensure alignment with governance, risk, and compliance requirements while delivering measurable business value.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential)

  • Hands-on experience with large language models and generative AI (LLMs) such as OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar
  • Strong proficiency in Python for AI development and model integration
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines (e.g., SageMaker + Lambda)
  • Proficiency with MCP server development and tool integrations (where applicable to AI workflows)
  • Experience building agentic workflows or autonomous AI agents
  • Exposure to code generation or code fixing using LLMs
  • Experience with vector databases (e.g., Faiss, Pinecone, or similar)
  • Good knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway) and secure deployment
  • Understanding of application security and vulnerability considerations in AI deployments

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Jenkins, Harness) and security tooling (e.g., Snyk, SonarQube)
  • Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Prior work in security automation or remediation systems
  • Experience with AI governance, bias mitigation, and model safety practices

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize AI models and AI-powered solutions within CI/CD workflows on AWS
  • Lead the integration of GenAI capabilities into production-ready applications and workflows
  • Mentor and guide team members, promoting best practices in AI development, MLOps, and responsible AI
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot new AI technologies and architectures to improve business processes
  • Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions
  • Stay current with the latest AI research and industry trends, incorporating advances into projects
  • Ensure governance, risk, and compliance considerations are embedded in AI initiatives
  • Develop and maintain architecture, deployment guidelines, and model governance documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement of AI delivery, security, and operational efficiency

  • Exposure to regulated industries and governance considerations is a plus
  • Alternative pathways: extensive project-based success in GenAI or relevant certifications

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Design, train, validate, and deploy AI models and autonomous AI components
  • Collaborate with product managers, data science, and engineering teams to define use cases and success metrics
  • Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and monitor model performance in production
  • Evaluate new AI techniques, tools, and platforms; lead proofs-of-concept
  • Maintain thorough documentation on model architecture, data pipelines, and deployment procedures
  • Engage in risk and compliance discussions related to AI deployments
  • Mentor junior AI engineers and promote knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field
  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), or ML Ops are a plus
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development in AI, ML, and responsible AI practices
