Financial data management: Oversee the collection and organization of financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for comprehensive reporting.
Journal entry oversight: Supervise the preparation and posting of journal entries related to financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Reconciliation leadership: Lead the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
Reporting management: Direct the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring accuracy and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Audit coordination: Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information related to financial records and transactions.
Compliance assurance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements related to record-keeping and financial reporting.
Process improvement initiatives: Identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of record keeping and financial reporting processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
CA / CPA / M-Com / B-Com or Graduate in Finance
Relevant years of experience in managing Insurance RTR processes
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Experience with accounting software, like SAP, Blackline, etc.
Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills
