Position Overview

Reporting to the CEO APAC, the Managing Director Malaysia is accountable for leading Crown Malaysia as an integrated country business, with full ownership of profitable growth, operational performance, customer experience, people leadership, risk management and cross-business collaboration.

As a senior leader within Crown, the incumbent is expected to translate the 2030 Group Strategy into clear local priorities and execution plans. This includes strengthening performance in core businesses, accelerating diversification opportunities, improving sales effectiveness, embedding digital and AI-enabled ways of working, and building a future-ready organization that delivers consistent value to customers, colleagues and the wider Crown network.

The role requires visible, accountable leadership across Malaysia, with a strong focus on One Crown collaboration, disciplined execution, customer-centric service delivery, sustainable growth and the development of high-performing teams.

Key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Deliver country financial performance in line with Group and regional expectations, including revenue, gross margin, profitability, cash flow, debtor management and productivity targets.
  • Translate Crown's 2030 strategy into a clear Malaysia country plan, with measurable priorities across growth, diversification, operational excellence, customer experience, digital adoption, sustainability and people capability.
  • Lead the Malaysia business as one integrated country organization, ensuring strong collaboration across Relocations, Information Management, Logistics, Fine Arts and other relevant Crown businesses.
  • Drive profitable growth by strengthening sales discipline, improving conversion, deepening account management and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Develop and execute diversification opportunities aligned to customer needs and Crown's future growth agenda.
  • Ensure Crown Malaysia delivers a consistently high-quality customer experience, supported by strong service standards, proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Build a performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, agility and measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the Malaysia leadership team and broader employee population, ensuring the right capabilities, succession plans and engagement levels are in place.
  • Champion digital adoption, process improvement and data-led decision-making to improve efficiency, customer insight and business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Crown policies, local regulatory requirements, governance standards, health and safety obligations and risk management expectations.
  • Represent Crown externally with clients, partners and market stakeholders, strengthening Crown's reputation and competitive position in Malaysia.
  • Contribute actively to the Asia Management Group and broaden Crown network by sharing insight, best practice and opportunities for regional collaboration.

  • Achievement of country revenue, gross margin, profit, cash flow and productivity targets.

Aptitude, Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant senior leadership experience in relocation, mobility, logistics, information management, business services or a comparable B2B service environment.
  • Proven experience leading a country, business unit or substantial P&L with accountability for revenue, profit, cash flow, operations and people leadership.
  • Strong commercial orientation, with demonstrated ability to grow revenue, improve margin, manage cost and build sustainable client relationships.
  • Experience driving business transformation, diversification, continuous improvement or digital adoption.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience, service delivery and operational excellence in a multi-service environment.
  • Ability to lead across functions and business lines, building collaboration in a matrixed or regional organization.
  • Strong people leadership capability, including talent development, performance management, succession planning and culture building.
  • Financially literate, data-informed and comfortable using business insight to make decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, clients, partners and employees.
  • Experience working in a diverse, multicultural and international business environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
