Job Purpose:

This role leads the Finance & Accounting function for Mitsubishi Chemical Thailand, overseeing factory and corporate operations, while also supporting regional finance initiatives across APAC. The position drives financial governance, operational excellence, and strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth, compliance, and efficiency for both the Thailand entity and the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting Leadership (Thailand):

  • Lead financial accounting, management accounting, cash management, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure operational stability, robust financial governance, and adherence to corporate policies.
  • Drive finance process transformation, including SAP S/4HANA implementation, automation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous improvement and succession planning.

APAC Regional Finance Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional finance leaders to standardize policies, strengthen governance, and optimize cross-border operations.
  • Provide financial insights to influence regional growth strategies, risk management, and investment decisions.
  • Oversee regional tax compliance, transfer pricing, cash flow, and insurance programs.
  • Lead digitalization initiatives and strategic projects across APAC to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Act as liaison with auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, and global project teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 1520 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or multinational environments.
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in TFRS, IFRS, Thai tax law, finance governance, and cross-border compliance.
  • Proven leadership in finance transformation, ERP (SAP S/4HANA) implementation, and regional coordination.
  • Fluent in English and Thai with strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
  • This position requires travel within Thailand and internationally.

This position supports APAC Finance Head on global and regional initiatives, promoting operational excellence, finance standardization, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
