Job Description

Job Summary:
The General Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the overall business operations of the Thailand branch within the freight forwarding and shipping logistics sector. This role will drive business growth, operational excellence, and team performance while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams including Operations, Pricing, Sales, Customer Service (CS), Accounting, and HR & Administration.
  • Supervise department heads and the Deputy Branch Manager to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Drive business development by identifying target customers, building strong relationships, and converting prospects into clients.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, service quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, service providers, and operational processes; implement improvement plans where necessary.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to build a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across departments to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the Thailand branch in business engagements and report directly to the Board of Directors.


Job Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping logistics, with strong managerial exposure.
  • Proven expertise in Sea Freight Forwarding operations and overall logistics management.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multiple functions (Operations, Pricing, Sales, CS, Finance, HR & Admin).
  • Solid background working in a fast-paced multinational company environment.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management, business development, and customer relationship management.
  • Well-established industry network and client base is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in Thai (native level) and English (professional proficiency).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive, results-driven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
