Role Overview

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading end-to-end business operations of a technology-driven EdTech platform, ensuring seamless execution across product, engineering, content, and growth functions.

This role requires a strong operator with a background in tech organizations, capable of managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and driving scalable execution. The GM will ensure that product delivery, platform performance, and business operations are aligned to deliver high-quality learning experiences and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Operations Management

  • Own and manage daily business operations across all core functions
  • Translate strategy into clear execution plans, priorities, and timelines
  • Identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure alignment and smooth collaboration across teams

Product & Engineering Operations

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to drive execution of roadmap
  • Ensure on-time delivery of features, releases, and platform improvements
  • Improve development workflows, sprint execution, and delivery predictability
  • Balance speed, quality, and technical scalability

Platform & Service Performance

  • Ensure platform reliability, usability, and performance standards
  • Monitor operational metrics and system performance
  • Collaborate with tech teams to resolve issues and improve user experience

Content & Learning Delivery

  • Oversee content production and delivery operations
  • Ensure alignment between product, academic, and content teams
  • Improve efficiency and scalability of content workflows (including AI adoption)

Growth & Customer Experience

  • Partner with Marketing and Growth teams to support user acquisition and activation
  • Ensure smooth end-to-end customer journey and experience
  • Support retention and engagement through operational excellence

Financial & Performance Oversight

  • Support P&L management, budgeting, and cost optimization
  • Track business KPIs and drive data-informed decisions
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation across teams

Team & Execution Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams with strong execution discipline
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Establish clear operating rhythms (OKRs, sprint reviews, performance tracking)

Required Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in technology, platform, or digital product companies
  • Strong background in operations, program management, or general management
  • Solid understanding of product development and engineering workflows
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to track and improve performance
