Our client, a growing ThaiJapanese manufacturing company located in Rayong, is seeking a General Manager to oversee and manage multiple departments. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Oversee all accounting and finance operations through the Department Manager.
- Ensure budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and financial reporting meet company and group standards.
- Monitor financial performance, manage risks, and coordinate with auditors and legal advisors.
- Lead efficiency and digitalization initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and liaise with HQ and regional teams.
HR & General Affairs
- Lead HR & GA to support business operations and organizational direction.
- Provide HR guidance to the Managing Director and coordinate with Japanese executives.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, employee development, and engagement.
- Manage performance, competency development, succession planning, and annual salary/bonus reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Thai labor laws and internal policies.
- Oversee GA functions including facilities, safety, security, transportation, and office services.
- Strengthen organizational culture and internal communication.
- Lead and develop the HR & GA team and provide HR insights for management decisions.
Information Technology (IT)
- Oversee IT operations and ensure compliance with group IT policies and security standards.
- Maintain IT governance, cybersecurity awareness, and required training.
- Collaborate with HQ and regional IT on digital and process improvement initiatives.
Legal & Compliance
- Manage legal and compliance activities under Thai laws and internal standards.
- Support corporate governance, safety, environmental requirements, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
- Oversee compliance reporting, risk controls, and disciplinary procedures.
Purchasing
- Oversee procurement operations, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Ensure transparency and compliance with procurement policies.
- Coordinate with departments on purchasing needs and lead time planning.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in related fields, with at least 5 years in management.
- Experience overseeing multiple functions (HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Purchasing); manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Effective strategic thinking, analytical capability, and decision-making.
- Knowledge of administration, HR, financial controls, procurement, IT, and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with Japanese executives and multicultural teams.
- Good command of English; Japanese language skills are an advantage.
