PRTR Search is partnering with a complex, luxury service organization to appoint a General Manager responsible for overseeing all operational functions across a large and multifaceted services environment. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures that operational services, facilities, and commercial activities effectively support strategic and community objectives.
This appointment comes at a stage of organizational consolidation and growth, requiring strong coordination across multiple entities and shared services. The General Manager serves as a critical operational bridge between ownership, senior leadership, and operational teams, driving alignment, efficiency, and consistently high service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee all operational functions, ensuring services, facilities, and commercial activities support organizational objectives.
- Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with ownership, governance, finance, and senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate operations across multiple entities and shared services, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and consistent standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of operational departments, including facilities, estates, service support, IT, medical/wellbeing services, and commercial operations.
- Strengthen operational culture through clear communication, culturally appropriate processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs, performance management frameworks, and staff development plans.
- Oversee estate and facilities management, including maintenance, capital projects, sustainability initiatives, security, and insurance coverage.
- Manage outsourced services (e.g. catering, transportation, contractors), including contract negotiations and service quality assurance.
- Lead IT strategy and operations to support organizational effectiveness, ensuring data protection and cost-efficient asset management.
- Oversee medical and wellbeing services, ensuring compliance, training, and appropriate insurance coverage.
- Identify and develop commercial and revenue-generating opportunities by leveraging existing assets and infrastructure.
- Work closely with finance leadership to prepare and manage annual budgets, long-term financial forecasts, CapEx, and operational expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements, acting as part of the safeguarding leadership structure once trained.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Thai-speaking with strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven senior management experience in complex, service-driven or multi-site environments.
- Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working across diverse teams and cultures, with high cultural intelligence and diplomacy.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and operational data.
- Solid understanding of estates management, service operations, health & safety, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organizational change, consolidation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Background experience in hospitality, healthcare, large-scale service operations, education, or family-owned enterprises is advantageous.
- Experience managing multi-entity operations or shared services is preferred.
